The beauty of having your bridal gown made is that it will be designed for you, fit perfectly, and be unique. Before your first appointment you may like to collect ideas of dresses you like. However, I do have dresses here you can try on to help. We can then put ideas together, taking into account the style of wedding and venue. We’ll have fun choosing fabrics from swatches of beautiful lace, satin, chiffon, organza, brocade, etc. Any beading or embellishments can either be decided upon then, or after the dress is made. I’ll then work out the costing and timescales etc.
About 4 months before your wedding I will measure you, then make a toile (a cotton mock up) of the bodice, or bodice and skirt if I think it’s needed. Then your dress will be made in your chosen fabrics, and the hems and fastening pinned at your fitting. It will then be completed, and you’ll have your final fitting a few weeks before your wedding.
I’m happy to keep your dress here, in a white gown bag, until collection during the week of your wedding.
Here is an indication of costs, including terms and conditions.
